ok me and my GF came so close to finaly loosing our v plates last night it was insane. but her best m8 got knocked up using a condom so she refuses to do it untill she gest a contraceptive implant / injection. i was not happy but oh well. anyway im just wondering if there is any 100% effectve birth control i can use. i know you guys arent realy the people to ask but i dont know where else to ask lol (and i wanted to brag about nearly loosing my v). cheers

The only 100% effective means is abstinence. Everything else is fallible... even that contraceptive patch thing she wants. Some things are more effective than others, and you can google to find out how effective. I think condoms are like 98% effective, the Today Sponge is like 97%.

It's really all about acceptable risk.

Most those percentages are generated by how many women per hundred get pregnant over the course of a year.
Therefore, a condom for example is about 98% effective so 2 in 100 women who use condoms alone on average will get pregnant. HOWEVER, this is with "perfect" use. There is another whole set of statistics (much lower) of practical effectiveness which include people who use the contraceptive incorrectly.

As said above, a hormonal contraceptive + barrier contraceptive is the best (i.e. the pill and a condom).
