OK this isnt that wierd but...

Why do girls text you at like 4 in the morning sometimes? I know, I know, you will all say cuz they are intereted so.. here is the situation;

I was gaming a girl I met in a club for a week and she seemed interested but flaked 3 times so I gave up, figured she'd call me if intersted. So a week passes since my last call and she texts me at 4am 2 nights ago with this;

HB: "What u up to??"

I was asleep so when I saw it the next morning I replied with this;

ME: "Was asleep... I know, u must be missing me "

And received no reply. so im wondering, why do girls do this? Surely, if she were still interested she would have continued the conversation. It not that out of the ordinary but I never analyzed it before so im wondering now what u guys think?

I read in another thread that girls do this to get attention, from guys they have no intention of fucking. They keep a little "text message harem" of guys who will give them attention on demand. So, like, she didn't get to fuck the guy she wanted that night, or had a spat with him, or was feeling moody or something. So she does something rather self-centered like text you at a bullshit hour when most people are asleep... unless she did it when she expected you and everyone else to be out clubbing until dawn or something. Still, it's all about her, and not about you.

I don't recall that the other thread said there was anything you could do about it. But definitely, don't give her what she wants. Either ignore her or give her something she doesn't want, like a good scolding.

I'm an old fart. I think this is a really good reason to make yourself absolutely unavailable by text. The more you allow yourself to be "the text guy" or "the email guy," the less you are ever going to be the "sticking it deep into my pussy" guy.

This may sound weird but if bvanevery's right that she's doing it for attention I find it great to be really rude.

If you're been talking to a girl for awhile and she's been flaking etc It show she has some power, feels like she's the one in control and that makes her comfortable (ie I organized three dates with him I can keep canceling we still talk ..)

If a girl feels that comfortable she feels she knows you and has one up on you.
Just tell her to get fucked.

Like "I was asleep last night you bitch, you woke me up"

You could even be ruder than that. But this totally throws girls who are in a comfortable place with you. Worst comes to worse she never talks to you again.
But most likely she will be amazed you said that, feel abit out of place and start trying to win you back again (ie Try organise another date) at which stage you should play hard to get, but not too hard.
