What's the consensus on this? If a girl touches her hair constantly when talking to or near you does it mean she's into you?

Yes and no. In body language one sign dosent mean anything on its own, she could be bored or think shes having a bad hair day. Look for stacking of signals!

Body language should be read is clusters, like a sentence of words. One verbal word can have multiple meanings, but when you put that word into a sentence it can usually only mean 1 thing.

The same goes for body langauge. When someone is scratching his nose it could mean he/she is lying. It could also mean he just had to scratch his nose.


If she touches her hair, her pupils dilate, her palms are visable and she is smiling at you.. Then she's into you.

If she touches her hair, crosses her arms, gives you a stiffed-upperlip-smile, and continues to appear to 'scan' the room with her eyes.. Then she's NOT into you.

It's not so much touching of the hair as it is preening.

For example, twirling her hair around her finger --> No, that's just a habit some girls have.

Brushing her hand through her hair, putting it behind the ear --> Possibly yes, especially if she does it repeatedly.
