ok, i've gotten reasonably good at the rest of it but when it comes to opening i tend to screw up alot, i've gotten past the point of thinking 'all i need it pratice'. any advice would probabley be helpful.

Use interesting openers that make people think "Thanks you so much for bringing something fun to talk about"

Don't say "can I ask you something?" or "I need your opinion"

I see you are having some what of some issues as to opening a conversation? The main thing to focus on is something you really want, and having great pick up lines to use in the same time. If you want to pick up a women you need to have everything at your disposal. With that in mind I always find it helpful to touch the women I am trying to pick up on the back, shoulder, or arm, and simply using a well timed pick up line with a drink on the way for her. Even as simple as Hello, my name is George.

Going direct works really well for some but it's definitely not my "game". By giving IOIs, buying "gifts", and giving up your name right off the bat you don't let the girl earn anything from you. In my experience opening like this will get you lost within the ocean of other AFC trying to get with a girl. Unless, of course, your direct game is well practiced and natural... mine is not yet.

hmmm I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you really haven't been doing this long. You pretty much contradicted every single MPUA that I have read anything from. Buying a woman a gift is AFC, complimenting a woman "incorrectly, like her smile" is AFC.

The best, most effective, simple & stress-free opener is nothing more than saying hi with a cheeky, playful smile on your face. End of story!

All this opinion opener shit is bollocks! Yes, it can be interesting & engage the girl in brief, "superficial" conversation (depending on what you say & more importantly, how you deliver it). But ultimately, unless your subsequent "midgame" is solid, the girl will quickly get bored!

Just say hi with a smile, and if SHE engages YOU in conversation thereafter, you know you've got something to work with. All these clever, considered, witty openers might be ok for "novelty value". But ultimately, just a confident, sincere & direct hello is, in my opinion, the best & least stressful way to go!
