I'm not disagreeing with you chelios; it's that one value I stand by in life wether it's pick up or parasailing is to always take responsibility. There's always something you could of done better. That's the only way to grow an improve. Everyone wants to blame other people for the reason things are the way they are. Blame yourself an only yourself because that's the only person you could ever fully understand. An then improve yourself based upon your own judgments. That way even if something wasn't completely your fault; you still grew an became a better person from it.
Yes, but another human being is not a parasail and you're not a psychologist. Go ahead and improve yourself all you want. If you're in the 'training' mood, go get yourself a golden retriever.

If your partner is " boring" you are merely just as boring for your lack of ability to motivate, energize, and encourage them to do more. People are only mirrors of ourselves. If you sit an listen to the way a person talks about others, an that'll tell you everything about the person.
"Mirror" is probably the wrong word to use here. Sure, we influence one another but I am NOT the person standing in front of me.
Taking responsibility is a good thing. . . but if you blow the whistle a few times and the damn dog doesn't fetch and comes back with, "Woof, woof . . . a few years ago, my former owner burned me with a cigarette and now I associate frisbees with pain and suffering and thus I need to take my time and don't feel like doing anything because blah, blah, blah, blah . . ." - Well, do that dog a favor and just trade it in. Good for you, good for dog, good for humanity.
