I would say that you made a DLV in your original message. I do the same thing but say. "so were you intimidated by my good looks or impeccable sense of social cues"

I think saying "what not hot enough for you?" comes off a little needy over email and is an inadvertent DLV.

So I like the NEG "so what do you have going for you other than looks?"because I am a big MM fan also. The Neg acts to level the value field since right now she probably feels she has higher social value.
I would completely scrap the part with Aw thanks and the corny DHV/Compliment. It just doesn't add any value to your plight and actually destroys the neg.

Maybe just Humorous DHV, NEG

Then just let her answer the question and earn you affection.

I did read someones opinion on here about POF that they preferred direct methods since your attraction is implied by the fact that you are messaging them and there are no obstacles to win over. I agree with that, but since I blow at direct I just keep on keepin' on. I hope this helps.

Lol it's meant as a joke, if it was serious then yea it is needy but it is a joke and it actually worked out. I do like negging but I've only had minimal success with it as some girls think i'm full of it or they get offended.

Yeah I know what you mean, I think it can come across two different ways. Some girls would look at it as needy and such and some would look at it as cute. Just like if I used your response some would think I'm cocky and confident and some will think I'm arrogant and full of myself.

It's really a judgement call when looking at a particular girl's profile. The hotter 10's I usually go cocky like your approach but the cuter 8's and 9's I can go a cute and jokingly.
