So I'm reading a book about attitude in game. The author makes a HUGE deal of this line.. "We become… what we think about." Saying it's potentially life changing. Can someone explain this to me? I mean...I get what it's supposed to mean, think you are something, fully believe it, and you'll become it. But I think about being a PUA all day long and last time I checked, I'm not the next Adam Lyons or Gambler.

So does anyone have a deeper explanation of this? I'm looking for something based on actual psychology and not just your own interpretations.

my own personal belief on this is: you are what you think meaning, if you think you will be the next adam or whoever you will invest your time into studying their ways and figure it all out. its all about effort. I wont be a cocky asshole but i will say I do really well, the reason is because before every party or every encounter with a girl I mentally think how I want to be, So I agree I may not be gambler or adam lyons but i do think about the methods they use and how it fits me.
The key is thinking your as good as them and doing what feels natural to you.

it means.. "you can do anything you set your mind to."
