I normally consider myself well versed and educated in Dancefloor game but this question has been burning in me and my friends heads for months.

HOW DO YOU DANCE TO DUBSTEP? Especially with a girl?

I guess dancing by yourself you can fistpump like a boss but then what? Dubstep seems like the anti-dancefloor music which is a total shame because some of the hottest girls are into Dubstep.

It still has a slow beat to it like many other songs. Just raise in between the bass and follow the beats.

I was confused for a while too BUT i have a whole frat that helped. The key is to feel the beat not the words. Just go wit the flow. If she doesnt like it be like yea dub isn't my thing come with me bring her to the side of the dance floor an talk. Has worked for me plenty before I got my moves down

You have 2 options

Half speed would be like slightly slower dirty south style rap

Double speed would be like slightly faster UK garage / breaks

Most people choose the "bounce to the side, then bounce to the other side" move because they are twats and are drunk and on ketamine.

Also most dubstep venues are massive cockfests most of the time which is unfortunate.

Totally right there, I was laughing hard at that, my local club (and pretty much the only club in my town) plays dubstep on Saturday Nights, needless to say that I avoid it and stick to the bars, I'm more into Rock and Indie anyway so it helps, at least on Fridays it does play a mix or Rock/classic/cheese upstars and Chart/RnB downstairs which is always good as I'm into all that.

From my experience dubstep appeals to the chavvy types, dubstep nights usually are cockfests mixed with some minging birds and if that video in the first post is an accuarate reflection of the genre then it sounds like it is for the braindead. Besides, I didn't think it took off outside the UK?

Echoing a lot that has been said, dubstep parties are often no different from raves.

I'm a huge fan of dubstep, I just wish it will catch on more here in the US.

I don't know if the dubstep scene where you're at hasn't expand as much as Colorado has, but our girls are gorgeous that go to them and there is always a surplus of them.

Best way to dance to it though is to have the girl do all the work, you follow her moves, they will move their hips like crazy (with the beat of course)

Just go with the beat and mimic what shes doing. If it doesn't work out or the girl is moving her hips to crazy for you (and boy are there some out there that know what the fuck they're going) then move onto someone else. Hell its a concert with 5k to 10k people, dont worry about being judged, you most likely wont see that person ever again unless you make a connection with them..

Just relax, move your hips like hers and have a good time.
