So theres this girl thats a mutual friend of one of my buddies but I have never talked to her in person, only shared a large class with her and saw her in there sometimes.

I randomly messaged her on facebook saying I knew her friend and ill quote the convo

me: Were in my geography class with Lyons? Paul talked about you a few times and mentioned that you were pretty chill. I am disappointed I never got a chance to meet you!

her:yup i had geog with lyons. oh fasho you know paulie b? haha so random what'd he say?

me: haha not too much, I was looking at his pics and I'm like dude that cute girl is in my geo class, he then told me your name etc. Super random I know but I think it's good to always meet more people.

After this she did not reply, go figure but she just posted a facebook status saying :"I'm giving up and switching to the other side hello ladies"
que my turn to draw her and show her thats not the right way to go.

I'm thinking I should tell her "Don't give up without atleast me buying you a coffee first" or something clever like that.

You cant really comment something with humour on her status with out knowing her, that would be a big mistake.
I dont know what else to say you, im no pro at online sarging, just wait some time and strike a new convo about something you share, like what classes she'll be in on this semester?

to which she would either have agreed which gives you ammunition to make jokes about her navigation abilities.

or she would have been like "he never said that! lol"

and you could have been haha maybe and then move on to something else or continue with he also said

you can't say much to that status without making matters worse for you, leave it for a while and then try hook off something says in a status post.

I appreciate all the concerns. It WAS a disaster. To make the matters worse...that friend that I mentioned I know...well I'm pretty sure they have something going on. So this is for the best. I respect my friend.
