Let me put it this way; I can pick up girls. But I feel like its only in place where i have a good excuse to talk to girls. I find it more difficult in ar situations.

Last night I opened a few sets and I found it hard to talk. I just dont know what to talk about after the 3-5 minutes of conversation that the opener produces. The thing is that I dont really want to seem like in hitting on them blatantly cuz this makes me look like every other afc, and if I opened with canned material it was indirect so it looks like I dont even like the girls, I just needed a female opinion or something.

One set of HBs was being gamed by an afc last night but I opened anyway (he seemed pissed off about it too). they actually seemed intrigued by my conversation but I dont think I was at the stage where I was getting real IOIs so I left. I got glances from one of them all night when I walked past and on the dancefloor later she seemed to be next to me like 3 times by herself.

I am good at mid game and closing I just need to figure out how to get myself into a closing situation more often so.. What do I do immediately after opening?

Depending on your opener:

Indirect - After the opener notice something about them and talk about that. The idea is to get away from "I need a quick opinion on what I should do" to having a normal conversation.

Direct - After your opener, assuming it goes well, you can ask for her name and escalate quicker, knowing that she is interested.

Ask for her name??? I think this depends on the situation. I've heard conflicting opinions on this. I think if she's feeling u (u already getting ioi) then go ahead, but if not, keep talking to her to build her interest, sometimes I go all the way till she asks me for mine or I sense she's begging me to get her name and num.
