Before my question I just wanted to say thank you for all the advice on here, it has been an invaluable resource.

The situation is that I've been hooking up with a foreign chick a few times (5 or 6 and 2 of those full) over the past three months and we progressively started hanging out a bit more towards the end of the fall semester. However, we have almost a month and a half break before uni starts again and she went home. We never really discussed an 'us' before she left and that is fine, but she was quite fun and I'd like to see where it goes. She did mention continuing after break, but I'm wondering if this length of time will cool things down? I sent her a message New Years after 2 weeks of no contact and got a reply the next day, but my follow-up received nothing after two weeks.

To give a little background: She has always been a little more difficult to get ahold of than I am used to. Slow to respond to texts and calls and busy a lot, also rarely initiates contact. During this time period I have also been very busy so it leads to last minute cancellations and rescheduling by both of us. However, she is always enthusiastic to hear from me, tells me to keep trying she is just really busy, and definitely wants to hang out.

Anyway, the main question is should (two weeks after last contact) should I send another message just asking how she's doing, etc? Or should I leave it until she returns in another 3 weeks? Am I overthinking this?

She's definitely the free & independent type.

IMO,the worse type to get into a relationship with.

This girl does things on her time,as you'd stated,she's slow to reply to txt's,etc.

This' not a girl you should be hoping to get into an LTR with.

She will drive you crazy!

Be satified with the fling yall are having,and feel free to let it fade out,while remaining friends or associates after the fling dies.

We men need to stop thinking that women want a relationship after sexual encounters.

If she does enter an LTR with you,she will cheat on you in no time since he feels no obligation to you nor to respond to you propmptly.

Those are signs & fore warnings of a potential-bad girlfriend.

My point is,leave the relationship & furthering things subject to the girl to ponder.

As the guy,you should not be pondering this before she does.

You would lose so much respect in her eyes if he was to find out that you may want to further things.

Seems counter intuitive & contradictive.

Bt just be contented with the fling,and be comfortable with the idea of letting it die out rather than try saving it by dating her exclusively.

Dating her wont salvage the vibe nor attraction;it will only kill it.

You have to read the girl before hand.

She's give you signs of her not being a 1-man woman,not being stable,not ready to be tied down,etc.

Sounds like pretty solid advice. Of course part of me doesn't want to believe it but I'm sure you are right.
