Chapter I: And so it begins...

Days Passed: 0

About Me:
My name is Michael. I'm 20 years old and am attending my second year at a community college. I live in a fairly small town in Illinois (United States).

I've been in one relationship. It lasted for about 3 years. I met her in high school. We had everything in common, including social anxiety. She was my world. I spent nearly every day with her. We had sex in all its' forms except for vaginally. So I guess I am technically still a virgin. My parents loved her; she loved my parents. She was part of the family. She was friends with my friends. We all hung out all the time. Life was great. Despite my social issues, I had friends and a girlfriend who I loved dearly.

Then I graduated high school. I started to see my circle of friends slowly drift apart. They were getting jobs, joining the force, going away to college...I was still right here. But at least I still had her.

And then she graduated. She got a job at a store, started making friends, went to parties and became some kind of social butterfly. She had gotten out into the world and become what we had never dreamed of.

I think it was at this point that she realized she could do better. She ended up cheating on me, after three years, with one of my last good friends. Not only did I lose her, but I lost one of my few remaining buddies.

And here I am today. Everyone is someone else. Everyone is something better. Everyone is enjoying life. I'm still right here. I'm sick and tired of being lonely. I'm tired of not having anything to do. I want to get a job. I want to meet people. I want to meet women and have a big group of friends again. But most of all I just want to be happy.

I stumbled upon PUA about a month ago. I haven't seriously gotten into it, but that changes today. It's time to make some serious changes. It's time to take control of my life. I've decided to do this journal not only to get support from people like me, but to hopefully be inspiring as well.

I will be updating at least once a week (probably more) with details on my struggle with social anxiety, physical fitness, women and more...

I'd be more than happy to have you guys along for the ride, and thanks for reading. All advice or comments will be much appreciated!

Steps taken:
-I've started a journal.
-I've been seeking the help of a therapist to aid me in my battle against anxiety and depression.
-I've acquired RSD's Flawless Natural and plan to watch it soon.
-I've acquired P90X and will be starting it Monday.

Current goals:
-Get through week one of P90X.
-Go out and make long eye contact with people.
