I know some people will say "just have a beginning, middle, end, and fast" but I don't think it's as simple as that. Sometimes people can tell short stories that suck and sometimes we find ourselves listening to people talk forever yet we're still extremely interested in the story...
....right?
So I have a lot of great stories (I think so at least) but I have trouble weaving them together to make them INTERESTING, sometimes I'll be telling a story and the people either lose interest or the punch line just...sort of.....dies.
Now I know some of you might be saying "well maybe the stories just suck", well you might be right, but the main reason I don't think that's the case is because whenever some people tell the same exact story (because we experienced it together) the reactions are completely different, so I'm 100% certain it's technique.
Any ideas? Books? Videos?
