I have VH1 on satelite and Im sure s few girls in Canada have seen the show. I think the question and opinion openers are very weak. Howeever even if you DO use them and the girl calls you out, it doesnt matter if you have good game, you can turn it around, make it about her. Tease, flirt, be confident, etc and Im sure you can recover from it. Theres another show called keys to the VIP, where guys sarge clubs and compete against each other. Some of the lines and stuff are pretty bad so I dont need to worry about using those.

Ive also found that even with the popularity of ’’The Community’’ its still not very mainstream, most guys in bars still use the typical ’’hey whats your name, can I buy you a drink?’’ and acually most guys don not approach women at all. I think this whole thing about the VH1 show is blown way out proportion, most girls wont care or remember lines from a show like that. They watch The Hills and crap like that.

I love improvising. Most of my openers are situational openers or negs. I don't think about them, if i do i stumble. I only use some canned material later on.

ok... so i last night i was around alot of friends that i had that are girls, and i tried out alot of stuff and it was all golden. See I take the opposite approach. I try to get caught. I not only use the lines from the show I also use the worse pick-up lines period.

I have found that any opener can work . So what if they catch you, you are not doing anything wrong. Since I do a lot of anchoring I just fire off an anchor and say something "So you are still having a great time, right?" and get compliance.

Bottom Line: You will only worry about getting caught if you feel you are doing something bad. If you think you are a catch then you are doing them a favor by bypassing their sheilds.

BTW, anyone been caught out in Australia since the show? I downloaded it since I don't have cable TV, so I have no idea how widespread it is amongst the bars.
