Brand new to austin texas. Been here 2 weeks. Met these people on couchsurfing. Didn't know anyone at this party or in austin.

So I got invited to this pajama party I wanted to bring something fun and unexpected. well, from going to music festivals and raves I remembered that face paint can be a lot of fun and bring on regression (girl thinks she is in kindergarten again). regression is great of course because when we were younger there were less things that were off limits or wrong, in other words its okay to let loose.

Well I got to the party and there were tons of hot young girls, college age being average. There was one girl who I liked from a previous visit to this house, when I had been cocky funny and even kinoed her a high five at one point. She (Katy) had actually responded well to my funny. But then I had ruined it with an awkward high five approach when she looked the other way at the last second.... I parted from that visit with her not even saying bye as I recall.

Anyhow I said high and she was polite. Right away I was like: "I got face paints!" in order to get over the awkward is this guy hitting on me again stage. It had the desired effect and she showed interest. I chatted for a minute to build up tension and then excused myself to get another drink. I came back and I can't remember exactly what happened next but I remember that a few people saw that I had face paints but no one seemed comfortable with me painting them. I don't think I asked much, if at all, to some degree I was waiting to see if people would ask me to paint them. I was starting to feel a loss of momentum and excitment. So, feeling like a bit of a loser, I was like "well I guess I have to go first and break the ice". I asked Katy to paint me and she agreed, not as excited as I hoped but not in a negative way either. Still wondering whether I would end up looking like a fool, she started drawing on me. Within about 2 minutes she started warming up to me and the whole experience. Other very hot girls started noticing what we were doing and came over to check us out in an excited way. I negged an HB9.5 age about 18 after she said she didn't want face paint: "don't want to mess up your perfect complexion huh?" She laughed genuinely. Then an hb8 came over and asked if she could draw on me. She drew a penis! while she was doing it she hung her arm around my shoulders which was completely unneccessary...

Success! Now Katy (the target) obviously realized I had a little game but she still didn't seem taken by me, but she was now more in the comfort zone and the memory of the awkward high five was fading quickly. I had an explicit sexual reference drawn on my face from a girl I had never spoken to before. She could have drawn a pony or a star. but no, she drew a penis... It would have been a DLV if she had not shown genuine sexual interest in me with the arm around and later she seemed interested in whether I would be bouncing with her friend to another party.

Anyhow, a few things happened from here:
1. Other people got involved in the face paint, guys too.
2. I broke off to mingle for awhile and got IOI and a number close from another attractive chick hb8, which katy probably saw.
3. I kept mingling, and did not focus my interest on katy at this point.
4. A guy showed up in a wild candy cane costume, validating that I wasn't being fringe, I was on the cutting edge of the party.

Result:
1. Katy approached me a few times to comment on my paint and ask to make changes, which I finally agreed to.
2. Later when she was sitting near me she asked if an admirer liked her puppy slippers. The AFC said "yeah they're cool". I said "actually those things scare me, they're like freaky little demons". At this Katy got freaky and started kicking her feet up in the air at me. She even poked me in the nose and I was kindof irritated. After awhile I moved to another seat.
3. Another girl at the party and the admirer started talking to me about organic farming, which I had talked about with the girl online. This was unexpected and was fortuitous. I did not realize who she was until she said it. This proves the power of socializing as much as possible. Suddenly I was this guy who was infiltrating the social scene. I was interesting. And I was mysterious and not revealing all this up front. This obviously had the desired effect on Katy.
4. Things were losing momentum as the party was pretty much over and most people had left. I got the feeling that I could have gotten a f-close if I had persevered. She was eliciting signs of a high buying temperature. But it was risky as a lot of Katy's inner social group/ friends were right there the whole time saying goodbye to people. so I would have had to do a coffee bounce. I decided on the number close. Rather than go straight for her number in front of her friends, I asked for the admirer's number (he was one of the farming aquaintances and I knew that he was looking for advice). After that was locked in my phone I turned to Katy and said "we should get glow sticks and break them" . She had told me earlier in the night about doing that and spraying them on the ceiling cause they look like stars. I had showed her that the face paint was black light reflective. She answered "definitely". I handed her my phone to write in my number. That way I could talk to other people and take the focus off the fact that she was arranging a possible fuck with an almost total stranger. So much better than her blurting out in front of all her friends "5 1 2 - blah blah".

So now I had a possible future plan to get together with this girl in a dark room with glow sticks and face paints.

I waited 3 days and text gamed her for over an hour. I made a few AFC mistakes but overall I think I still have her interest. Her last text to me was "yes! glow sticks someday soon! Do not worry my friend. Yes, I know, the friend word. Again, I made a few AFC moves in my texts but she was biting after every text. I think there is still a lot of potential. Anyhow, the ball is in her court and she will have to get back to me. I will ignore her.

Now I have to decide whether to attend the monthly potluck which is this weekend. Its at the farm of the admirer guy. Should I go there, or will I be overexposing myself? Should I make her miss my company? I think I will. Unless she calls me beforehand. Because she has made a comment at the party about how we should all get drunk and pass out at the house of the admirer the night before the potluck. If she doesn't invite me to do that or the glow sticks thing, then for me to see her there would make me AFC.

Too bad I really want to go to this potluck. But being a PUA means having alternatives. Luckily this is Austin and there are plenty.
