I don't consider myself a PUA per se. I've read some of the books and have learned various things from them, but I've never been part of a community, or gone out sarging, or met up with anyone else who does this type of stuff.

I'm a 22 year old aspiring comic based in Boston, MA. Though always a funny guy, I was an outcast throughout middle school and early HS. I became aware of this and reacted both by developing my own sense of humor independently and with friends, and by analyzing and breaking down the senses of humor that other people I admired. This started maybe 8 years ago.

I started writing comedy seriously when I was 17, and started performing whenever I got the chance at 19. I went to college at a place where there was no comedy, so by the time I was a senior and finally old enough to go to bars I started a comedy night of my own. Now that I've graduated I moved to Boston to take advantage of one of the country's biggest and best comedy scenes.

What the fuck is the point of all this?

I'm interested in comedy. I love it. I break it down and analyze it. I'm interested in learning more about the PUA community so I can write a book that will explain the mechanics of humor in a way that is useful for the community. I want to do this for multiple reasons, 1, from what I can tell humor can play a big part in Pick-Up, or being social, and 2, it seems you guys are big on breaking stuff down and understanding it, just like me.

My goals here are to get an understanding of the PUA community, what types of things you guys are interested in, how humor could be integrated into it, what the current trends are humorwise, and ultimately to write a book on the subject.

Nice to meet all of you.

-OW

Nice to meet ya.

If you have an opportunity, look up David Deangelo's cocky comedy series. David's PUA material is one of the best out there. He goes into comedy and explains how it can be used to attract women. I'm sure you will find it very interesting reading.

Glad to have you on board.

Everyone, I had the pleasure of meeting oscarwilde a number of years ago. He's already a natural and one of the funniest guys I know. Not only is he here to learn about the mechanics of pickup, but he can offer a lot when it comes to learning how to be funny and anything about comedy.
