Today I went to get my computer checked out at the campus technology center. I figured it would be slow, since the holidays, so I didn't dress to meet anyone. However, when I went in, a very lovely girl looked me up and down. I walked by her and sat about 10 feet away from where she was sitting. The computer tech asked me some questions, and I said, "did you hear about the guy who shot up the school board today?" He lightened up and said, "in florida right?" Immediately she perked up and said, "I didn't hear about that!" Boom.

I bit the urge to say, "this is an AB conversation, C your way out," but just told her the story. A minute went by and I said to the guy, "I love the dynamic in this room, because you can say anything, no matter how trivial and insignificant, and people will be interested. I'm talking about f**king CNN stories and everyone focuses. In a club, I could say that, and people would think, 'Why the fuck do I care, this is boring' but not here."

Again, she responded. There are normally movies playing. The last time she was there they played twilight. Well, I told her about a guy I know that has the looks of robert pattinson and has so many other things going but can not do anything with women. I told her later an anecdote about him when I was nearer to her, and that he was a "lovable loser" in that aspect of his life (having any game, that is). She said he didnt sound like a loser at all. I said, "We are too similar, thats the same shit I would have said, I can't even talk to you!" She laughed and said, "Well, hopefully they fix our computers so we don't have to much longer." I ejected and walked back to my table.

When she was leaving, I had my back to her and she actually made a point in telling me how much she enjoyed talking to me. What should I have said different? I dodged the first bomb, perhaps, but the second blew me out.

Depends on how she said she liked talking to you. You have to feel it out but you could have flat said "give me your number and we can do it again sometime."

Or, after her comment you could say "Yeah? Then you should ask me out for a drink/coffee."

she'll likely resist and say you should ask her out, you reply, "But that would make me like all the other guys and we don't want to repeat the past."
