GuruUK,
No problem man. What you are feeling is completely normal. I have felt like that before also. I was really good at a certain point in this PUA stuff about a year ago too. Im 24 and what happened to me was that I was in a 3year relationship. Then I dumped the girl and also lost my skills because I was faithful to the girl (I would not even flirt with other girls). I did not do anything with girls for about four to six months after that.
Then I found this community when I was 22 (close to 23). I started studying this stuff and going out sarging with my best-friend. I just decided on being pro-active in my love life. I set goals for myself and learned after every outing. Then I became really comfortable with socializing, something worthwhile in it of itself. I told myself that I want something and that I was not going to let anyone stop me.
Little by little, I was getting good. I mimicked other PUAs until I found what works best for me.
Unfortunately, I had to go away because I am in the Army. I had to leave my PUAing for another time. When I arrived, I was lost again. All my skills were gone. However, I noticed that this skill was just like excerising, that if you stop at a certain point, you need to start over again. It is also similar like excerising because I noticed that a PUA does not really start all over again, just not at the previous level he left. Let me explain:
When you are body building, you may stop excersing with a MAX bench press of 245lbs. If you do not exercise for a month or more, you will not be able to lift that 245lbs MAX as effectively as you did before (if you COULD even lift it). Note that you will still be able to lift more than when you first started as a beginner though. Basically once you exercise the muscle for a while, you will have built enough muscle that it does not just wither away. That is what I mean that you do not start from the beginning. You may not start where you left off, but you will not start like a noob again.
THAT was very motivating to me. THAT gave me the energy to continue striving forward again because I wanted to get to where I was at, and I also wanted to exceed that (which I knew was very possible). And that is what I have done. My mentality has transformed from when I re-started this PUA stuff. Why or how? Well because I have noticed my shortcomings and continued pushing forward so that I could get what I want. THAT has increased my self-esteem and given me the confidence to be better in life.
Best advice, go for what you want because sooner or later you WILL get it.
Best quote to consider, you miss 100% of the shots you dont take, so take the shot. You have nothing to lose by shooting, and nothing to gain if you dont shoot.
This is excellent advice Lorenzo and is much apprecaited....its actually given me an instant boost, the hope that I will after work, get my game back to the level it was. 'You miss 100% of the shots you dont take'- that was also my quote ironically

, but I had it hammered into my head, instead of on my lips.
Thank you Pal, just got to put some of the things into action....
