Although this is a very common question my situation is just slightly different due to timing.
I went out last night for a buddies birthday. It was mostly all of the guys and a few of their girlfriends. Anyway, there was this HB 9 their that was with her friend who is the girlfriend of my friend. I have never met her but i over heard her talking about that she was from the same area i grew up in.. (we both now live in the same city in a different state) That was my chance to walk straight in due to common grounds.. We hit it off. Talked for a while, had mutual friends etc.. As she was leaving I got her number and that was that.. I woke up this morning to a new friend request on facebook, her..
I am very new to this whole getting numbers thing. I would like any advice on how to approach this situation. Now here is where my story is a bit different. With Thanksgiving being so close would a first text to her sent on thanksgiving, thanksgiving related, be kind of lame? I was thinking something cocky funny.. but not sure what..
or something facebook related? seeing that she is highly active on facebook.. Maybe something like writing on my buddies (mutual friend) wall (she was texting him last night telling him she met me) about how I met her.. (something that she would like if she read it...??
What works best for you guys in this situation?
hi man.
If she is the girlfriend of you friend, i would leave her alone. Keep it to facebookshit and so on.
If she is not, then i wouldnt try hard to think of something 'cocky funny' to say. I would call her and say to her that i want her to join me this saturday doing something you like to do.
and that is that! If she wants to, she will say yes. If she doesnt like you that much, she will say no. If she doesnt like you but thinks she will hurt your feelings, she will say maybe, but you should consider the possibility that she actuallly means no.
lots of luck!!
