What's the point in sharing openers that you, yourself haven't got the balls to try them out yourself first?

what is the point of putting so much effort into an opener all together when you can sucessfully open with something simple as "Hi"

By offering untested openers, i look more like a pua. Its my dream to be a pua

just people are too afraid to go out and do it themselves. Im pretty sure most of the classic openers are actually just openers that happened on the night then posted up on the forum the next day.

It also helps procrastination "I'll go out when ive got my opener down!", i kinda feel sorry for them because its such the wrong angle of pick up.

Its usually pretty socially inept people too, ive seen people ask for help on crazy long ass openers. They don't really take the advice into consideration and show changes and a week later they haven't used it yet. A WEEK! 168 hours to talk to any stranger/girl/group/dog/till worker with the opener.

i'd use a little more situational than that.. but why waste so much time on the opener?!

the problem is people need to learn what to do NEXT... once they have that down I highly doubt canned openers would be needed or even considered.... when you know you cna go into any topic next and arent nervous about it.. you CAN just open with "hi, since we're waiting for the bus and doing nothing anyway, you see that episode of house last night?"

why would you post that opener on a forum... even IF it works.. cuz its not a "trick" or clever... seriously i think the real problem is people suck at transitioning so they rely heavily on carfeully crafted openers to open threads of convo FOR them rather than just fukn talk.

I know what you mean OP. Most of the openers I give are openers that I have used more than once and got results. I have posted some that I never used just because they sounded good. Its not that I'm too "chicken shit" to use these openers myself.. its more that they don't fit with my personality and how I view myself. So they might work for another guy.

I'll admit that I usually stick with casual openers like "Where is an SPAM?" or "I like your jeans" for daygame and "lets dance" or "What are you drinking" for night game.

I've never been a big talker so I avoid long-winded openers that require lots of babbling. Its just not my personality.
