I've noticed this in my last two sarges. When I enter the party with my wing around 12:30 the place is almost dead. There are people there (not too many though), but you can tell no one is actually having a good time. Everyone is just fucking standing there in afc manner, both guys and girls. We do a couple of warm up sets, but still I can see I'm running on autopilot and there is no energy in me what so ever. And after that couple of sets, I'd expect to get some momentum, and instead I just get bored. And this has nothing to do with how well the sets go. Around 1:30 more people come and finally you can see some movement in the club. But, by this time I just leave, like I did last night. does any of this make any sense, have you encountered situations like this?

If the place is dead, revive it, be the energy in the room, itll keep you from being bored, and it'll make opening easier, make it seem like in that club your the guy to be around because your fun, and we all know girls just wanna have fun

Why not warm up a few places first, get into the social mood, and then try and bounce some sets to the club, arriving at 1-1:30 when there's more people there and the energy is better?

i guess that's i'll have to do that. that's the only logical thing to do. i don't know, i'm 25 now and when i first started going out (and was total afc), like 8 years ago, clubs were crowded around midnight. it seems like in few years weekends will be like the workdays. only instead of going to work we'll be going to clubs.
