Went into town today and bought a copy of the much fabled The Game by Neil Strauss. Then went into cafe to read it and as I waited for my drink, the attractive girl behind the bar said to me "looking for tips?", I assumed she meant tips as in what customers give waitresses and the like a few coins to put in the box and as I put a few coppers in, she remarked that I had a copy of THAT book!

Great, now I bet she will laugh about it with the other hotties that work there and earmark me as the local wannabe PUA and any future visits shall never be the same.

It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal.

Take this from a guy who got drunk and thought a sink was a toilet at a party and took a dump in it, then started shouting for toilet paper as there was none 'left'. In 1000 years no one will care mate.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about. So she saw you reading the book, who cares. Who the f*ck is she that you have to worry about her (or her friends) opinion?
It doesn't sound like she was giving you a hard time anyway, so relax. If anything, it sounds like you sparked her interest my friend.

I am sure it is nothing but once again, I feel I should have made a witty comment back but kind of blushed and all I said was "Er, yeah." She asks "Isn't this the book by the guy who says he can get with any woman he likes?" and that "I've heard of it, everyone knows about The Game", all I closed off with was "well, I have read so much about it and wanted to see what the fuss was".

I am sure it is no big deal, just that I felt embarrassed and should have said more. But I still do not see how I could have sparked her interest?

hehe this is funny. i read "the game" for the first time 2 weeks ago. funny thing is that since than im so excited about it, that if a i had a hot girl "catching" me read it will make it so much easier for me to talk to her, because we will talk about somthing im excited about.

You should have suggested that she goes and reads it too. The copy I'm reading actually belongs to my female housemate who said it was excellent and that I should read it!

Er, nope. The fact that the opner is THE book in question completely rules it out. Someone like that will be on to me and know exactly where I am coming from.

And she would probably think - yeah, i know you are just trying stuff on me that you learnt in that book. I know you are putting it all on etc.

when i first got 'the game' 6 months ago i had an hb8 open me almost exactly the same way when i was reading on the plane just coming in to land going home from london bk to scotland, i had actually thought about opening her when we first got on the plane and were seated next to eachother but changed my mind and i got her number and fucked her 3 days later. it went a lil something like this folks.......(not word for word cos i cant remember but fairly accurate)

then we jus talked about random boring shit(work, families, where we live) til it was time to get of plane, we hugged and i started texting her the next day. this was a very easy pick up and i didnt work it out til later that it was cos she wanted to be gamed! if a women mentions it to you the idea probably intrigues her and she wants to know more! if she thinks your a creep for reading it, she wont talk to you! simple as that boys!
