Hey guys what's up? I'm new to doing pickup and I'm a very shy guy around girls. My gf dumped me 6 months ago and I haven't been with any girls since. So I thought maybe I could learn something on here, I used to be really good with girl, but it's been so long.

I'm 25 and I was with my ex-gf since freshman year of college, I feel like she really screwed me over, but it's a long story, so i look forward to talking with you guys and getting my shit back together

One-itis sucks. I had a case of it for around a week earlier in the year. Solved it by finding 2 women and realising that 2 tongues is better than one! I then had Two-itis for a while, but that got sorted.

If you're shy around women, do something hideously embarrassing and see what happens. In all likelihood, once you realise that you won't die, you have less to fear. Or try getting a job in sales, possibly on the phones. You learn great skills and your shyness about speaking to strangers will shrink or vanish.

Two girls sounds pretty good . I just want to get out there and start meeting some women, the more the better. Thanks for the advice, I know, I gotta do something to get over this shyness with women...

This is a simple start; grab some friends and go on a night out. Start daring each other to just open a set. Try faking an accent, say you're new to the area and want to know what clubs are good. I live up North in England, but have a Southern accent. This opener works a treat for me.

But remember, you're just gaining experience. Take your time with it.

Have you thought about doing the noob challenge? Or reading The Rules of the Game by Neil Strauss? That will help you start out.

Get a friend into pick up so that you can encourage each other. Also look for other PUAs in your area to learn from.

i suggest you read mystery method; venusian artists handbook. it will open your eyes to a lot of new things and probably turn a lot of the dating world as you know it upside down. a book focussing on similar concepts is Magic Bullets by Savoy (i think).
