Completely agree with blondguy. It's not easy to push yourself to do it, but studying small things like "angles" is just an excuse not to do it.

You shouldn't even worry about things like this. It fills your mind with things that don't matter until you're actually approaching.
When you learn to drive a car, you don't start by reading about advanced steering techniques, and the best way to change gears and so on; you start by getting in a car and shitting yourself when it starts to move. When you're driving well enough, perhaps learning how to do the more advanced things is beneficial, but until then it's just one more thing to worry about.
