Openers for one-game seem pretty tough. I came up with one, not field-tested, that I want to run past you.

Walk up to girl alone. "Are you Sarah [or any other name]?" "No." "Oops, I am meeting my best friend and his date, who I've never met. You fit her description exactly." Two scenarios are likely. 1. She says nothing, in which case you stack a new routine. 2. With luck, you hook her and she wants to know what the description is, so she asks "How did he describe her." You start to answer, smile, and then say, "Before I tell you, tell me how you see yourself." With luck, this will interest her--because she is as self-centered as the rest of us. Now you have bait. Keep the conversation going while holding back the description, and if you get to A3, you can give her a compliment, e.g., "He said she has a great smile," but just a piece of it. The description becomes the string in the cat game.

Another variation is, "Are you the Sarah [or any other name] that used to hang out with Jill in San Francisco?" "No." "Man, you could be her twin sister. She was cool: in a rock band, raised 2 million for some nonprofit." So the target is negged: whatever she does won't be as cool. Then stack.

You know it really is annoying to find these well thought out openers on here and they haven't even been approved by a field test.

Firstly the opener isn't even that important, it only gets your target(s) to pay attention to you. You then have to do more to keep them engaged and finally have them attracted to you.

My friend, go out and test this opener and come back and tell me how it went. It doesn't matter if it fails, just do it!

GoldDust :)

I could care less if it annoys you. The point of asking for feedback on an opener is to fine-tune it before deployment. Imagine an actor saying to another actor, "I want to try out my line with this particular gesture tonight. What do you think." The other actors says, "It's stupid to get an opinion. Just do it." The whole POINT of any forum is get feedback.

So you want the perfect opener before going out in field? Well let me tell you, there is no perfect opener and the only way you are gonna fine-tune it is to go out and test it, See what was good about it and what was bad and then adjust it accordingly.

Golddust, take it easy on the guy. While i agree that field testing is the best way (only way) to perfect an opener. Don't crucify the guy for posting an untested opener on the forum...people may have used similar openers and could have field advice.

Again like he said the purpose of the forum.

Thanks for the support. It's OK. Some people just get easily affected and irritated by others for some reason. Game is like a performance, and trying things out on your peers is like a dress rehearsal (in music, theater, political speeches, any kind of performance). The guys on the VH1 Pickup Artist are constantly trying lines out on each other. If one of the guys said "That sucks, so don't use it," the one trying out the line got saved the pain of flaming out in the club!

You sound like an idiot.

Golddust was giving you some sound advice, an opener does not mean shit. Its just a line used to strike up a conversation. Go out and try your opener, then you can understand where he is coming from...

If you want some examples of club game, youtube keys to the vip.
