I have played online poker for a living for the last 4 years, usually when im asked by a girl what I do I make up some other career because I find that it leads to awkward questions and I understand that to the general public it can seem like you are just gambling and being a degen.

So if you was in this situation would you tell the truth or make something up?

just talk about why you enjoy it briefly and move on, leave it an open thread of conversation to go back to.

then it sounds like you arent proud of your job.

If its that big of a deal then change it but if youre happy with it, they will.

You're like a risk taking rockstar gambler who's intelligent and knows how to read people's minds, who plays by his own rules and doesn't give a shit what other people think and you're willing to play around with thousands of dollars like it's nothing.
