I've known this girl for about 12 years now. We've never been more than friends although I'm pretty sure she used to have a thing about me. I have always had strong feelings for her but being a total AFC I have never 'made a move' on her.

She seems to show interest in me on and off. One month she'll be texting me every other day, and then the next there'll be just a few meaningless texts. I feel she has total control over how I'm feeling.

This is all ofcourse ONEITIS.I've read that I should either make a real move on her which will probably ruin our relationship, or just walk away and really move on.

My Question: Is it possible/realistic to think I can turn this around and make things work between us ? Has anyone done this ?

I appreciate your feedback, and please feel free to be as candid as you like. I probably need a good kick up the ar*e to make me do the right thing.
