I had hoped there'd be a sticky for this, but guess not. I'm kindof new. What are the guidelines for texting? Like how long you wait, how to start a text convo, what to continue with, how to reply to a what's up that goes into a boring nm, etc. Thanks. I'm in high school and I'd kindof like to figure this out for obvious reasons.

I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I think texting is an amazing tool for a PUA. It gets you "in her mind" throughout the day, and is great for building attraction and familiarity. One of the best tools is a quick "ping" text - ie. a quick non-needy, usually funny, text that doesn't require much investment from the woman. Something like:

Yo [her name]. Hows life up in [her town]sville? 90 degrees and sunny up there too? [she doesn't live far away and it was raining]

(one I actually used)

Just use it as bait and gradually reel her into an interesting conversation. Next thing you know, you'll be texting her last thing at night (v good!). One tip I found works well - don't reply to her last text at night, then reply in the morning. Means you can keep talking the next day without having to "initiate" contact again, though if you use a low investment "ping" text as your "first" text, it really doesn't matter.

I couldn't agree more Prometheus2010. Honestly, the thing online sarging is best for....is getting a girls number to text her. Girls can't ignore a funny text...they can't do it.

And almost anything is funny in the middle of a work day. "I saw your picture on the news. Why did you kidnap a child...?" ANYTHING.... (this worked for me w/ an HB9)

Great advice about the final text of the night. I would take it one step further and say, NEVER "Have the last word." If you want to say: "I've got to get going" ...instead say "Stop trying to hit on me via text messages, I've got things to do woman!" She will respond...and you can let her have the last message. It makes her think she's the one working more for it...meaning you have more value...and are the target, not vice-versa.
