i am having trouble approaching women and saying an opener? what could i say to a woman i see in a grocery store or any store for that matter?

Dude, stay out of grocery stores.

You need to go to the mall or bars were the numbers are so much better. Its a numbers game, and there just isnt the numbers there.

But if you happen to actually be shopping and see a hot girl use the easy default:

"Sorry to bother you but I only have a second, I am meeting up with some friends. You look decently normal and I'd kick myself if i did ask for your number."

If she is with a mom or something, say the mom as nice shoes. then ask her where she got them or something.
