Does standing at the bar and talking to girls as they order drinks count as opening girls? Is that in anyway "cheating" or is that simply the smart thing to do if your always roll solo ..... I look forward to everyone's thoughts.

Opening means getting their interest. So even though you're talking to them, you may or may not be opening them. You may say that well, talking automatically means she has your interest. Not really. You can talk, but they can also barely respond.

Being at the bar just gives some easy ways, like 'what you ordering' or whatever, so I won't count it as 'cheating' really. However you're not opening them towards a real conversation because those openers can be like 'what you ordering?' 'Girly pink cocktail with extra liquor' ...end of conversation. It's great to get rid of your AA for sure but it'll get you nowhere unless you follow up with something interesting she'll respond to.
It shouldn't be about the amount of 'opening' anyway. Numbers don't tell shit. I'd rather f-close 1 girl than open 100 so don't think that way, if you did.

All this jazz about, what is the least amount i can do that counts as opening is bullshit, 'opening' serves 1 purpose...its just a start, its how you escalate from there that matters, you can open 30+ girls in one night, 'hi, sweet band tonight, bye' there u go, you've opened, and not got rejected, now just rinse and repeat 30 times and you can proudly say you opened 30+ chicks and didn't get rejected once (your fuck all better than you were before but that doesn’t matter...does it?)

I'm with Nate on this, opening means you started talking to a girl.. doesn't really matter how or why. What really matters is closing.
