If you want, I can upload bunches of studies showing how the rules you have listed are not effective.
You two have a point but don't realize that you have two learning different methods, like "The Secret" and "The Power of Now", both of your learning methods are on the opposite sides of the spectrum.
You Fin are talking about the traditional "Baby step way" study method. While on the other hand Warped is talking about basically huge leaps, "aim for a higher goal, you will fail more but if you are smart you will learn from much more".
Each individual chooses which method he is most comfortable with, but 90% of people choose the baby step method as it is easier and you don't have to face as much failure. The method Warped is talking about comes to a few with experience, and in most cases by accident.
For example in my case it came when I accidentally gamed and number closed my first Hired Gun, and after writing the field report I realized that I learned more from that 10 minute interaction than going out for a month 3 days a week....
On a baby step method a guy's goal is trying to get a phone number while in mine and Warped case he is trying to get the girl home, without even knowing how to number close, maybe he will fail harder at trying to fuck her but after some time he will figure out and by the time he figures it out the baby step guy will only transition into learning how ti kiss the girl...
Why am I saying all this because all the 3 Rules listed by Warped I have discovered and tested myself, the harder the goal and the bigger chance of failure the faster you will get to that goal.
But Fin you have a point for this method to succeed you need the right mentality + being VERY analytical and after every failure analyze on what to improve + not being afraid to fail. And especially for new guys is much better.
On the other hand Warped's and mine will teach you whatever you want much, much faster.
Cheers
You would get the same amount of failure on both sides of the coin. The difference is with a "won't accept phone, numbers and K closes" your pressing on yourself an all or nothing mindset. Which is hard to motivate yourself to aspire to, and also lowers your self efficacy and weakens coping strategies for anything other than perfection.
Why would an incremented method guy only be interested in a n-close?
There is no real anecdotal evidence to be had here... no "Well I do this.... and I get that...."
Fact is, any story like that, will get drowned out in the dozens more stories that say, "yeah I did it that way, and it got me no-where, then I tried it the OTHER way and I started moving!"
If you are a person with a sharp analytical mind, and great self awareness and motivation, then you have no use for any learning models or rules to help you improve. Because all those rules are just ways to help give you the self efficacy, knowledge and self awareness needed to progress.
If you have the traits required to actively use and learn from this 7 week challenge, then you have the traits to learn PU just as fast without this 7 week challenge.
