I had this situation last night, and I'm just curious how different people would approach it. Of course there's no right answer.

I was having a meal with work colleagues in the upstairs of a restaurant. Eventually everyone left but myself and two mates. The only other people left upstairs was a 3-set. Two 6s and one 10. I know everyone rates their 10s different, but to give you some perspective - I've only ever seen one other 10 in my life. This girl looked precisely like Cheryl Cole, only slightly hotter.

Anyway, naturally we went over and sat down with them.

But...how would have you played it, and how would have you got the 10? Remember, she's a bitchy fuck. Cheers.

Opinion question to the group - if shes a bitchy fuck then I expect she needs to be neged slightly and alienated when you provide the 6s with a lil attention - make her crave the attention your not giving her. Then tease slightly ask her a question and what ever she says make it sound like shes a bit of an idiot and tell her due to her answer shes no longer allowed to speak - but do it playfully then go back to the 6's have a convo and ignore the 10. Then once finished tell her shes allowed to talk now but you must be off - touching the top of her arm - then ask the 6's if they mind if you take some time to talk to the 10 but tell her you have to go back to your friends soon. Do the number guessing thing (pick a number from 1-10 - most will always go for 7 and big it up i.e. "As your seem to be an independent woman who I can tell obviously has style I would say you picked a 7") she'll be amazed and then make ur excuses and leave but ask her how could you continue the conversation and let her come up with a way of how u will talk/meet again - hopefully I'd like to think shed come up with her mobile number or at least a facebook

Well if you can't figure out why she is a bitchy fuck. Then just proof yourself in the meal, don't go over the top, but use it to generate a good mood, later on see if you can isolate and try and work her bitchyness to your advantage by weathering it out and showing her your no wimp.

If you can't isolate, then just try and get her in on the conversation. Same principle as ever when you encounter any bitchiness.

Look to close some numbers if you can't get a lay out of it.

Well considering how much attention a 10 gets and how superior she probably feels... I'd act indifferent to her looks. I'd talk to her like she was a 4 or 5. I'd ask her questions to get a feel for her mindset. Then I'd ignore her and talk to everyone else until she initiates conversation again.

Once, she (or I) is about to leave the restaurant, I'd ask for her phone number as if I'm entitled to it.

If I was at uni though, I'm not really sure. I'd talk to the friends a lot, make sure my friends can see me so they all come in and try to steal her, then move on to the ten. I'd just talk to her as a normal girl and if she's bitchy, call her out on it and tell her she's not as cool as her friends.

I hate talking to girls in front of my mates from home, all they do is cockblock each other and shout stuff across the room such as "YOU'RE IN THERE!" "GO ON SON!"; it's pretty embarassing.

First I would have gotten eye contact with one of the 6s, raised my glass ironically to her. Started to joke around in a non verbal way. Gone over and built acceptance with the 2 6s and then payed attention to the 10.

As you can probably tell - I didn't get the girl - due to the situation, I thought it best to leave the game to be played by one of my work mates. I realised early on that it wasn't going to work with both of us trying to pick her up, and the remaining guy is a bit like Trixta's home mates. So for me to score I would have had to amog my work mates, which goes against one of my pickup rules...even for a 10.

But I posted this because I did question myself - could I have picked her up if I tried to? I'm not so sure...

Most people have said something along the lines of ignore the 10 and build acceptance with the 6s first. I think this is a good strategy. Still, the guy who was trying to pick her up and I were working somewhat as a team, and even he realised this had to be done. So we did ignore the 10 and give attention to the 6s. This worked well, up until a point - soon she just appeared not to really care about us. We didn't really have any (sexual?) value to her in any way. And the reason why that is - is because my work mate did fine with the group, but never transitioned to a personal interaction with her. You can only build so much fun/value/vibe with a small group, but if you don't address the 10 soon on a PERSONAL 1-to-1 level (i.e. isolate somehow), she will most likely burn the set.

I thought I'd share this with everyone because I also overlooked this at the time...when it may sound so obvious thinking about it from an outsider's perspective. It may sound easy to implement, too, but really isn't when it's a seated set. She was positioned against the wall so neither of us managed to sit next to her, and without sitting next to her, you lower your chances exponentially. Positioning is everything. Even if you did try to have a personal interaction with her across the group - it would be so difficult to get her to buy into your frames, because she won't want to look like she is to her friends.

Anyway - as a hearty addendum, it ended up a really fun set because credit to my work mate, he thought of what was one of the best pickup jokes I've ever played on a girl.

So this 10 looked like Cheryl Cole, only a bit hotter.

So when we sat down with them for the second time (we had moved to a lesbian set half way), my work mate points to one of the 6s as if she is really hot and goes:

"OH. MY. GOD. You ACTUALLY look like CHERYL COLE!!!"

i think i would do a simple opener. get the whole set entertained. and don't give the 6's more attention than the 10. you have to look alpha, so i'd be quite honest about it. she is obvious the hottest of the group. (she knows this herself so don't try to hide it.) but you have to be that guy that doesn't only looks at beauti. tell them that it's only one aspect about a person and that you need more than only that. give them the story about this ex off you who was verry beautiful but was a total bitch. and after this girl you don't only look at beauti anymore. but be honest and tell that it is ofcourse important. and you like beautiful woman:d

Hmm...I don't think this would work in a lot of situations, and almost certainly not this case. If you tell the 10 she looks weird right off the bat, she will blow you out shotgun style .

You say "How many guys says that she's weird" - well - the hottest girl that I've known for any reasonable length of time, a 9.5 by my rating, told me once that loads of guys try and 'treat her bad' in order to win her over because they think all the other guys treat her well. So she gets loads of unnecessary flak and this gets her down. Even without that point, this kind of girl just wants any reason to fuck you over to begin with, and you're giving her one right off the bat - when she's most likely to do that to you .
