I seem to run into a dilemma when developing the differences from badboy and asshole. Im a cocky son of a bitch and I get the "your an asshole" comment a lot, but usually followed with a smile after (or a jerk, w/e). Women obviously love the bad boys of the world.... now my question is, what differentiates a bad boy from an asshole?

I feel an asshole is intentional. He does things that he knows will hurt people unpurpose for his own pleasure.

A badboy is just self-centered. He looks out for his own best interests. He doesn't go out of his way to fuck over anyone.. but he has no problem fucking someone over if they stand in the way of his wants/needs.

The badboy isn't a bad person. He just doesn't take shit. A jerk or asshole is often a bad person.

Thats the main difference.

An asshole gets pleasure from hurting others.
A bad boy hurts others in his pursuit of pleasure.

every woman is subconsciusly looking for somebody able to hit some "switches". they dont like bad boys because they are jerks, but rather because of their social status, looks, preselection (they hang around other women), they are the leaders of men, and, of course, they show that they can walk away at any time.

nice guys are nice and that is it. they are not suitable mates, they are not providers, they have low survival and replication value (unlike bad boys).

the nice guys are usually the desperate ones who have no idea on how to "trigger" attraction between sexes.
