If you remember two guys from Keys to the vip...one was diesel and the other was a male stripper. They both got results with almost no gaming. They just played it cool.
Playing it cool is pickup.
Define PUA.
I mean, do you mean the MM? Or the rest?
Going up to a girl running routines is PUA. Standing in a corner being afraid is not. Standing in a corner being entertained by your pivot is. If you get your inner game working you can say whatever andd still win, is that then AFC? No its PUA.
If you are good looking and trust only that is that PUA? No thats AFC.
I would say PUA is knowing what you are doing.
I recognize that thing about the game working differently in different parts of the world. It is true. You gotta adjust it depending on where you are and the culture that place has. Most of the game was developed in the US (well Canada too) so European game is more difficult if you learned it the US way. At least thats what I used to think.
Then I realized that yes, the game is different but the core is the same. Its just the color of the car that changes, not the engine.
Nowadays I can see that I still have difficulties gaming (especially when the language isnt english) abroad compared to my own turf. But I can still game, no need to revert to AFC crap. Going AFC means that you drop all game. Including game strategy, social skills, no confidence, no inner game, no bodylanguage knowledge, no voice and tonality awareness, no social calibration, no cocky-funny behaviour, no knowledge about anything close to game.
Obviously that cant be done. You have learned it and you cannot just unlearn that much stuff. These are PUA skills we use all the time without even being aware of it. They are passive skills that we have learned from experience. Instead of going back to AFC, we go ahead to improvised game, freestyling.
In the end, what PUA training really does is changing your old concept of what "feels right to do" into a new concept of what "feels right to do". Thats all it is, your reflexes change, you gut changes. Trust your gut, but your new gut.
