Okay, so I attempted my first approach whilst on holiday two days ago whilst on holiday and managed to secure a hug, and a number close. Although I think it was more friendly than anything else. Anyway, feedback would be great, and remember, this was my first ever approach.

HB7 (sitting on the rocks at the beach)
Me: My brother thinks you fancy me (I really had no idea what to say, poor opener)
HB7: (smiles) no I don't
Me: Well that's good, because you're not really my type anyway
HB7: That's good (comes over and sits closer, but not too close)
HB7: So where are you from?
Me: Ah I'm from London, and judging by your amazing accent, you're from somewhere up North (Me attempting to copy her accent)
HB7: (Laughing) I'm from South Port

Conversation continued with us talking about places we'd been, blah blah blah, I then went into a neg by saying

"Hey, you know whats the cutest thing, your nose wiggles whenever you talk, say something else" She laughed and hid her head, i then did the palm reading technique, using cold reading, which she seemed to enjoy.

We talked about family, then it started raining so we both departed, the next day (and last day of the holiday) i was walking along the beach and she came up to me and walked along with me, again, we talked about random stuff, it was getting late and we said by, i gave her my phone and said "write down your number" in which she did, we then hugged and went our separate ways.

From what u described if that was ur first approach u did very well.. only thing u didnt do but shud have was try for the k-close. She was showing alot of signs of interest all u had to do was bring it up with a kiss opener. Even if you dont get the kiss you still gotta try that way u have no regrets.

Great work try set up a meeting with her (if you do you have to k-close no matter what)

Thanks man I appreciate it. I would have gone for the kiss close but she was making very little eye contact which confused me a little, she was giving me other IOI's, but no eye contact so I kinda chickened out of Kiss Closing, which annoyed me after.

Some girls are just shy u dont need eye contact. Also if a girl is willing to meet up with you then 100% u can kiss her just time it right.

Openers always sound bad in reflection, unless you're using some of the best. Opener, good, neg, good. Gotta admit with everyone else, k-close was there. If she's shy that just means you've got to take that extra step (or even leap!). Initiate it, ask her how good a kisser northern girls are, or what the first thing she'd say would be after kissing you (followed by "lets find out"). Good first approach though, lots of potentioal here!

Thanks for the tips man. I'm kinda gutted I didn't go for the kiss close, I'm off out this weekend and I'm feeling a lot more confident, so i'll definitely try and kiss close this time around. I appreciate the feedback, it's really helped.

TONS of ioi's (remember, rule of thumb is 3 ioi's and you are clear to k-close. keep track of them), all in all I think you did GREAT job on your first approach!

Could you guys post those "tons of IOI's" that you noticed here? Since all I see from the original post is friendly conversation.

First, with the
"comes over and sits closer" is pretty obvious. Why would you sit closer to someone if your not genuinely interested?

Second, her laughing genuinely, I would take as an IOI. IOI or not, laughing is huge. It shows the subject/target is engaged.

Third, a smooth flowing convo, as it seems Danzella described, is huge. If you cant keep the convo going with her, obviously she has no interest.

Fourth, the fact that she approached him at the beach is huge. Maybe he asked her to hang, same difference, if you can get a girl to be next to you on demand you have her down.

And yeah.
