So I was talking to this HB9 who works at a departmental store the other day. The conversation was going pretty well and I was able to steer the topics of convo towards her and her life, what her goals are and so on. We have been talking for a while and she was showing some solid IOIs.

Then I noticed she has a ring on her ring finger. I figured she was probably in a relationship, and I ejected.

Now, I know from some of my friends, that some girls will wear a ring just to not be bothered by random guys.

Just so I am able to respond well next time, my question is:

-what is a good way to find out if she's really in a relationship?
If she's was not, I could easily have number closed, or at least attempted to.

-should I have tried to #-close her anyways, just for practice?
