some random dude comes up and tries to initiate conversation with you and the girl. How do you act and talk to make sure he does not become the alpha male and the leader of the group? How do I make sure she leaves with me and not him?

I usually do it with eye contact. My smile says I'm friendly, but my eyes say "don't push it". Hard to explain. Kinda like alpha sub communication.

It's all depending on the situation.
In some situations you may just say : "Sorry, we are busy for 2 minutes", "excuse us for 2 minutes please" or even take the girl by the hand and get outside,etc...

But as I said it's all depending on the situation.

If he came with a camera, and say let me take a pic with you 2 , then he begun to talk with the girl, then he screw you up. Or if he is smart enough to "win" you first then go for the girl, then he also screw you up. Just try to not look to "friendly" and "to open"

if you build enough attraction and some decent comfort ...hopefully the girl will blow him off and mainly just stay interested in you.he should get the picture and carry on somewhere else....

I remember seeing a video with some PUA I forgot his name I think it was something cat or something like that. He was showing guys how to make out with a girl with her bf standing right next to her. Basically, I am trying to avoid a guy who knows what hes doing and trying something like that. How would I keep the alpha male image in that group.

Don't listen to what most marketing PUA's say.

Showing how to get a girl to make out with you with her boyfriend standing next to her? I dont think so, try again.

A guy tried to pull some shit like that, I'd knock his teeth out.

As for the original posters comment.

Try and close as soon as possible. If not possible, then just make sure you are more interesting than anyone else.

It's happened to me several times, but usually the guys leave because they probably get intimidated or some shit.

Sounds good I asked, because it has happen to me although I ended up leaving with the girl I just wanted to make sure I know the right way to act and not get lucky like I did last time.

then proceed to box him out

happened to me once... i simply leaned over and whispered in her ear. i said "wat the fuck? haha i cant go anywhere without these homo's hitting on me" she was very receptive to that so i told the chode to kick rocks n go get raped in an alley way
