College Game: Social circle problem

I am a sophomore in college and as many of you have read, college game is about social circles. You want to be the guy people go to, the one who people see as fun and "that guy on campus". My problem is that i have found the group of guys who are good with girls. Why is this a problem? Becaue the alpha male of the group i is HARD to compete with, girls will be hanging out with us, and there always all over him, even if i have brought him, they naturally go to him without him trying to get them to notice him. How can i fix this problem. He is one of my good friends so im not gonna just not hang out with him. He is a natural, i am not. I have the confidence but i think pretending to be alpha cant compete with the real thing. Any suggestions?
