but where's the proof for your statement? I can as easily say: Maybe you're lying to yourself, too.
I never said men didn't lie to themselves.

After all: "How can I be so unattractive that me being nice and honest doesn't work on women while others do. I bet they've got to be mean to them/ have lots of money/ are great in bed/ or other 'tricks' "
You see women clinging to jerks all the time. This debate wouldn't exist at all if women didn't at least seem to be turned on by assholes.

I'd be willing to bet that if, in the first study, they had given the survey question from the second study they would have gotten the same percentage of women stating they prefer nice guys.

Hell, look at Twilight. Women, even adult women, go nuts for Jacob and Edward... yet by all accounts the relationship between those guys and Bella is abusive. Confront a girl with this, however, and she'll deny that these guys are abusive at all and actually praise them.

This review is kind of illuminating:
Quote:
Edward, of course, has warned her not to be alone with him. He warns her constantly (in between praising her for the quietness with which she absorbs the latest revelation about his true vampiric nature) that she rouses him to such a pitch that he can barely contain himself. To Meyer and her legions of fans, this is evidence of his virtuous, gentlemanly nature. To those less enamoured of Meyerworld, the implication is that Bella chooses to put herself in danger and the further implication is that she must therefore bear full responsibility for the consequences (which, in the way of vampire romances, are not entirely confined to hugs and puppies). - http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2008/dec ... lm-vampire
They romanticize these male characters, who are basically one bad mood away from going on a murderous rampage... and they are "virtuous and gentlemanly" for merely holding back.

heres a question are you looking at this as a purely academic exercise???

i ask this is for 2 reasons
firstly there are too many variables in this you cant account for upbringing, fatherly influence, age, type of man liked e.g. wether they prefer to date black or white guys tall or short, fat or thin.

secondly the results that we have as pua's arent from purely academic research its about finding the common theme in what works.
heres something funny Richard Bandler was asked by psychologists why NLP worked and wheres the evidence that every technique worked and he simply answered i dont have any, your asking for scientific evidence for something i invented and applied. he didnt create it in a lab. he saw what works and duplicated it.

Here's the first survey. It says women prefer the bad guy over the nice guy:
“Academic studies have reaffirmed that women prefer the bad boy archetype over the nice guy. A 2008 study at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces examined how college students perceived “dark” traits such as thrill-seeking behavior, deceitfulness and narcissism. The study found the female students preferred the males with these traits.”

Yeah I think both are loaded. But I'm incline to agree with the first. When Asked traits women will usually point out traits of asswhole. If you ask her straight out tho Goodguy or Badguy she not gonna say yeah I like an asshole who gonna treat me like shit.

Women are lookin for that balance that sorta bullshit.

Exactly. Even because of ASD woman will not tell truth, she even lies for herself, unconsciously too.

> "where's the proof for your statement? "

Maybe watching whom women fuck would be good proof, hmm ?
