I have an opinion opener, it's something along the lines of 'what do you think about guys who bake cupcakes?' (NB I know this isn't great but don't need opinions on the opener, I'm just giving an example)

And shortly after her initial response she then says something like 'I actually bake cakes...'

Is she qualifying herself already? Without me even asking a qualification question?

I'd say no. Unless you somehow hinted or said that you like cakes and people that bake them.
