I've heard many PUAs say that 99% of pickup follows a set, predictable pattern. Could someone (preferably one with several pickups under his belt) tell me what the standard stages of pickup look like, and how to know when to proceed to the next stage?

ok mate, from my experince there is no direct formula, AT ALL

now there is set ways to learn when you are new, how to open, to to comfort, then escalate, then kiss close and so on, i know i missed some stuff but i could care less about the specific shit.

when you learn these ways are made because you are not aware on how to act when a girl reacts to what you are doing. it keeps you in a mental state to see there emotion and connection and LEARN how to deal with it and continue. but as i have became more of a teacher then student, i dont follow any guidelines, i dont use openers or specific k close techniques. i just go with what happeneds. for me this works very very well, because i can read girls emotions and understand them and connect with them so well that i can speed up to a close or do what i want with her. do you see how it is more effective to just wing it? you can become fully in control, not waiting for the next stage. sometimes a connection is faster then others, sometimes its slower, it doesnt always need a set path

i suggest you look into mystery method, it is very helpful to understand the basics of the basics. look into inner game aswell, it will all be helpful
