Hi everyone - nice to have found this forum!
Here is the story, thanks in advance for your time:

I attend university down (up) in Michigan.I am 23. There is this one girl (HB9) who I have known for a bit. She has always shown her interest in me, but I have let it go since she had a boyfriend. Recently, she broke up with him. Since then, she has been flirting like there is not tomorrow and I have played tough to get. She has told me she would hook up with me if she had no bf (this was a month ago), and recently, she always tells me I look great and initiates a lot of touching.

Long story short, one day I made the mistake of just going for it and trying to kiss her, without building up a lot of KINO that day. She was taken by surprise and said she is not looking for a bf. She also asked why did I do it here, and not in a night setting or in a club (we are planning to go). Then she said something along the lines of having a few days to think about it.

This is very worrisome to me. Such strong signals and then a very contradictory response. I know I made some mistakes at the execution, but still, I couldn't believe it.

Any advice, fellow PUA's? Should I persist or ditch her. How would you play it off next time you saw her?

Hopefully this discussion can give us some insight into "their" psyche.

Cheers,
Kyle

Flattery is the best way to get my attention.
When a girl says, "If I didn't have a boyfriend," she might as well be saying, "If the moon wasn't round, if you didn't have a penis and I had a vagina." If she actually wanted to hookup with you, she would have either cheated on her boyfriend or dumped him to make an opening for you. If she does NOTHING, then she was just flirting for your attention.

I wouldn't say it's a lost cause, but she's not playing hard to get either. She mostly just wants to leech your effort and attention. Try this little test, take her to a bar/club and game other girls and see what she does. That should give you a better idea where her head is, but I get the idea she'll either cockblock the shit out of you by pretending to be your girlfriend or she'll have a fit and demand to leave immediately when she doesn't have your full attention. Or, she will just start macking on guys there. I think you have a good plan, get her to the club, give her some kino (use the claw as you enter) and demonstrate your social value when you're there. Think ahead of getting her alone with you at the end of the night. If she blocks you by saying she doesn't want another boyfriend, ask if she plans on getting back together with him, otherwise she needs to move on and you'll take things slow, you're not sure if she's girlfriend material yet anyway.
