I am relatively new to the world of PU, but have been thinking up some of my own openers because most of the stuff in 'The Game' and from MM are made for clubs/bars in the USA and seem a bit wierd in the UK.

One of my current ideas is to open using one of a number of questions about the board game Monopoly - UK version. Or just use them as part of a canned routine:

eg if at bar or away from friends for a minute

PUA: 'Hey, you know on Monopoly, what was the third red street? Trafalgar Sq, The Strand...?'

OR 'Hey, can you remember what pieces there were in Monopoly? Dog,hat,boat,car...?'

HB: doesn't matter what they say

PUA:'Just that my friends and I are down in London soon and are going to do the real Monopoly pub crawl...(i.e. drink on every street)

HB:usually gets interested

move on to other questions like:

PUA: 'What is your favourite set of streets?'

HB:usually say Park Lane..(expensive street)

PUA: neg her saying that you can picture her in a little house on Old Kent Road (for American guys that is the worst street on the board!)

You could also throw in a bit of ESP by asking them to pick a number between 1 and 10 then whatever they say guess that when they were younger they used to be the dog (most girls were) and used to collect the red streets (most people do)

etc etc

I've tried this on a couple girls at work and it does get the conversation started, need to try it out in the field now. What do people think?

Something like asking what their favorite street is.

Me: ...So what's your favorite street?
Her: Prolly Boardwalk.
Me: Really? I prefer Baltic. sluuumlord!
Me: Cough up the five bucks, grandma..
Me: Biitch, I'll turn off the heat!!
Her: LOL
