I have a good friend that I love to death and we've known each other for 10+ years, but I have one huge problem with him. Every time we hang out with a new girl that displays interest in me, he talks shit about me about behind my back and the girl loses interest and he ends up taking her home.

He used to talk shit about me to my face in front of the girl as well and that was fine, I played it off playfully and it really just made him look like a dick bag. But hes changed his technique and now he talks to the girl in private and it makes her believe that hes the straight, truthful, honest and decent guy for letting her know these things about me.

What the fuck can i do about this?

I came up with one strategy, but I am not convinced its the best, that strategy is to praise him. Obviously not excessively, but perhaps it will turn the tables in my favor again.

Any tips, help, or suggestions would be incredibly helpful. Btw not hanging out with him really isn't much of an option.

I have one friend is kinda geeky, and his friend is a dick. They've been good friends for 6 years and every time I told him he should get rid of him, he couldn't because he didn't have many friends, and he just screws his life because he got rid of him.

there's nothing much you CAN do man, thing is he's jealous, not of you, of the girl, he wants your attention, the only solution is to game alone. And if your with him just know that this might happen

...and yes sometimes even old friends split, your not interested in the same things and all, it doesn't have to happen.

You only have to hit him once. Haha. My buddy pulled that shit on me all the time. You show him that it really bothers you that much then maybe he will stop. If not, he's not a real friend. Dont bring him out anymore.
