Hey ppl, I'm 20 and I think my hair line is receeding... It runs in the family so i'm not surprised. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was thinking I should shave my hair short to get it over with.

Suggestions?

Pick your hair color and try one of these. I've seen people use it and it works like a charm! It's definitely worth the investment.

And remember don't let anything take away your confidence!

Rogaine (OTC), Propecia, and Nizoral (OTC). Look them up, and use all 3 for 6 months and see what you think. I think if its just the hairline you might be alright with just Propecia.

BTW this is not approaching...

Hey man!

I've been in the exact same situation, same age.. I was using a product called minodixil if I remember well. It wasn't working so well and I thought I should shave just for trying because I've always had the same hair cut (leo di caprio style in titanic.. really AFC).
So I decided to shave my hair and it's the best choice I could have done, I only got compliments from everyone. A lot of girls love that, it's sexy!! 8)
Sometimes I'm also doing some simple hair tatoo like lines above the ears, it's really cool.

It also depends on the shape of your face, to some guys it can be terrible..
Maybe you could ask to a hairstylist if you're not sure

Also, I only use a trimmer, not a rasor. I tried the razor one time but I hated it, it's too extreme

I don't you to tell you to do it, but from my experience I think you can consider it.

ps: do it before getting tanned, it's weird to have a tanned faced and a head still white ;-)

Minoxidil is essentially rogaine.

bro, im more or less ur age, and my hairline has receeded WAY behind..it looks kinda bad ..

so u know what i did?

saved myself from the misery and shaved it all off !!!

im much more happy this way.

the first stage in building inner game is to ACCEPT urself and be COMFORTABLE wiith urself.

once u r comfortable with urself, others will feel comfortable around u.

i totally know how it feels cos i was in the exact same place as u r.

it jus took some balls to go ahead and take it all off.

i tried minoxodil, rogain, propecia and all that shit.
results vanished as soon as i stopped using it.

n its been researched that these dugs if consumed orally block ur DHT.

u know what that means ????????

it slows down ur testosterone levels !!!!!!!!

who the F%$k would want to mess with their manhood for the dead protein on their head ??!!! NOT ME !

Style was a skinhead, and he became the biggest pua. and because of his baldness, he could also experiment with wigs for some peacock nights. So yeah good that you shaved your hair!

Cheers guys, you've all had some great input. Tbh, I would never bother with all the chemicals - such a chore, embarassing if anyone found out, side effects etc - not worth it. My plan is to have a 'crew cut', basically, shave my sides off (not totally shaved), this will look stylish. I wouldnt mind shaving it all off, like style, but i've still got a few years till it gets bad.

Much love

I know a guy who's been bald since he was about 23, maybe younger. He's one of the most affable, likable guys I know, and girls love being around him - I worked with him for about a year and he was the most popular dude in the office. In the back of my mind, I sometimes wondered what it was like for him being bald so early.

Right around that time, I myself started to lose it - and fast. I was about 28. I considered lots of options. Finally I just said fuck it and started getting my haircuts with a #2 blade. Now I'm at #1. I've got a bald spot but I'm in shape and I'm not hiding anything. I'm also not taking a bunch of messed up drugs. Life is good. Your gut is right - shave it.

I agree with what every one is saying on here, and know how you feel mate.

I started loosing mine at the age of 18, used all the drugs and chemicals for about 3 or 4 years. In all fairness I definatley think this slowed the loss, but I didnt gain any hair back.
At the age of about 22, I had stopped using the drugs (to expenzive, hard to stay in routine and side effects), but I still had my hair long, when I say long, I mean it wasnt shaved. I had it spikey, but, as it was receeding I would spend hours in front of the mirror stressing trying to make it look good, then would be paraniod all day about it looking crap.
Till one day, I got so annoyed with it, I deceided to buzz cut it, went for a number 3 first, had that for about a year, then 2, then a 1, and now im on no gaurd.
Buzzing it best decisionI ever made, I stressed about loosing my hair for years, but now its buzzed, I just dont care about it any more.

Hope you get it sorted mate.

Good advice as ever guys. One thing I did'nt mention; Do people with shaven heads look aggressive (skin heads, chavs)? I am seriously considering shaving most of it off now but am worried how people will think of me. They may think I had cancer... Do you have to have a certain shaped head to pull it off (long, flat, beefy etc).

First the bad news - Going bald is a problem for PUA's. Most young women don't like bald men. I was standing outside a night club and some women walked up to the queue that night and it was mostly full of balding men and one said to the other; "Im not going in there, its full of bald men."

However, going bald isn't a problem as long as you have the confidence and charisma to back it up, the only bad thing is you have to now put more effort in picking up girls (mostly 18-24) as you look older compared to your peers. Though its not a major problem for any PUA just for AFC's.
