ok, so I chickened out on talking to this girl that was working at costco. She was the chick that checks to see if you have your membership before entering the store. Any suggestions on approaches? Keep in mind that she is working.

Aw,

cant get much easier than that, she breaks the ice for you. Pretend to not have it, then search for your card......

find it,

ask for her name etc. see if you can get it rolling.

Yeah, while you are looking for your card, you just fluff and maybe run a routine. People in those positions are really easy, aside from when they have other people they need to be dealing with as well.

So do you go for the number right away, or leave it to marinate and go for it the next few times you go back?

I'd probably just do it all in one shot, cause otherwise she might forget you unless you make a good impression. But if you are good at making an impression, then you can have a running neg with her and that will make her more attracted, but to do that you need to frequent the place, not just go there once a month.
