I am wondering about the influence that tattoos have on pickup. I recently got two large tattoos- one on each forearm. It’s nothing offensive; it’s basically a koi fish half sleeve on one arm and a bonsai tree on the other.

Do girls in general find tattoos on guys attractive? I’m in college, by the way. I’m about to go to a graduate school that is for biological sciences, so I’ll be around a bunch of people that are studying science. Would that possibly have an impact on the way they view tattoos?

Since I am concerned that professors there might possibly have a negative first impression of me if they first see me with my tattoos, I am thinking of wearing long sleeves for the first week and after everyone gets to know me, I’ll start wearing a t-shirt. Some people might ask me if I feel hot or why I’m wearing long sleeves, and I was thinking of saying that I have tattoos and I want to cover them up so that people will get to know me instead of first judging me based on my tattoos. I don’t want to make up some excuse like I’m trying to avoid getting a sunburn and it’s really cold inside. I’m guessing it’ll be a DLV and they’ll look down on me for lying and they’ll think I’m insecure right? So would it be a DHV if I were honest and told them that I had tattoos and my reason for temporarily covering them?

Or do you think it’s better to initially show the tattoos? Will people look down on me after they find out that I’ve been hiding them? Will I appear confident and will girls see that as a DHV if I never hide them? I’m mainly worried about professors seeing them, though, so I’m leaning toward hiding them, but I also don’t want to DLV.

Basically, for people who like tattoos, people that don't like them and people that don't care, is it worse to initially show them, or is it worse when someone first sees you without tattoos and then all of a sudden you come in with tattoos?

Another thing- my tattoos have no meaning; I just got them because they I thought they looked cool. Will this make me look bad? Should I just make up some meaning? Koi fish tattoos are supposed to symbolize overcoming struggle, so should I just tell them that and that the bonsai tree tattoo means nothing?

Sorry for the excessive questions; I just wanna get this right because there’s no information on tattoos in pickup.

Koi carps traditionally represent luck, good luck if the fish is facing upward, but its bad luck to have them facing down. You can make a tattoo mean any number of things, whatever you want them to mean. tattoos can be good observational openers, so yes, you need to make up some meanings for them. The bansai could represent something like.. nomatter how strong a person you are, you still feel somewhat restricted in your growth, or goals. Thats a little negative though so you might wanna change that. just make something up that you can talk about for ages, something that enables you to talk about you as a person, your feelings, something positive.
Most girls, yes, love tattoos.
I wouldnt hide them at all, they are part of you, and if people judge you by them, then they arnt worth knowing anyway

I have tattoos as well and nobody ever cared. Not really. A girl told me that she wasnt that much into tattoos on guys, after we had sex. So, yeah, though shit, at least the sex was good right.

If you like Pizza, would you refuse to eat it just because it was served on a green plate instead of a red one?

And the girls I like normally like tattoos...

Currently, I have 6 tattoos and girls love them. I love girls with badass tattoos too. Seriously, I wouldn't get a tattoo just to impress girls though anymore than a musician should learn an instrument to get chicks. They are pretty much permanent. I have 3 four leaf clover tats, a lucky charm heart, a kanji that means "guitar", and a tattoo of a Cali bear with the words "California".

I see stickers sometimes that girls have that say "Tattoos make me horny", so they probably do something to get the vagina juices flowing.
