I'm asking this because I'm new to texting. I got my first cell phone a few months ago and this is the only girl I've ever texted. She's a real good girl and I already asked her out so she knows I like her. I won't bother with the details, but quickly summarizing she's going to college so that's apparently why we're not together right now even though she originally said yes.

It's so frustrating texting her. Even though I agreed to be friends I've managed to keep myself out of the friend zone by maintaining minimal contact with her. I didn't text her for awhile then said what's up and we talked for a little bit. After that I didn't text her and about a week later she texted me asking how I was doing. I responded then asked her how she was and she didn't respond. A little over a week later I asked her again and we had a small convo until I asked her a question[hoping to lead into getting her to hang out with me but it wasn't that obvious it was more of an open ended innocent question] and she never responded. I'm pretty sure she likes me somewhat still so it's not that she's trying to be rude and get me to stop talking to her.

Quite frankly this just pisses me off. I liked her and wanted to do shit with her, but I'm not gonna tolerate this crap. I'm gearing up to get into the game real soon and go out to actively get chicks and whatnot, and I'm wondering how often I should expect this bullshit and how to respond to it?? Such as what if the chick responds to my question several days later? Should I respond and act like nothing happened or just not respond at all? If she texts me a few days later and asks me how I'm doing ignoring my original question should I not respond? All the guys I text respond pretty damn quickly to my texts.

It's a game of cat and mouse...what you can't do is keep texting her after she responds, in fact don't text her at all. It is better to hang out with her in person and run game that way.

If she is going to college, just ask her straight up to hang out. Don't text her for a while, then ask. Otherwise, just figure out if she is going to a party or whatever, and just run into her there.

Trust me, you don't want to seem needy. Too much texting (showing too much interest) will ruin your chances.

I'd almost say its just a failed mission. I would go find a million other girls... She is just 1 blade of grass.

Well she's going to college in another city so she won't be around. (She never responded btw) I was disappointed but I'm over it. I've decided to stop worrying about her and handle my other problems in life; it's not worth it to initiate something with a chick who doesn't put forth half the effort that you do.
