Brandon here. I don't have a cool name like Sinn, Mystery, Style, Gunwitch, etc etc. Although people do call me Brawndo from the movie Idiocracy.

I'm 5'10, 225 lbs. Bigger frame, looking to cut back. I used to be heavily into athletics and while not chiseled, I was firm and not soft. I try to take care of myself, buy good clothing, groom, maintain my looks, shower and all that other stuff on a regular basis. Yada yada...

I first discovered the seduction world when I bought David DeAngelo's DYD when I was I think 20 (26 now). I was at a point where I was the nice guy all my life and I hated it. Oh sure, let me give you a ride to your bfs house, you know the one whos a douchebag and cheating on you. I even told a good friend of mine that she should think about dating me if she were ever single, lol...talk about AFC.

The great part about DYD is that as I'm reading it, it pretty much sums up almost who I am. I have a Chevy Chase/Bill Murray sense of humor- dry, sarcastic, witty. When I was around girls I was trying to impress, I'd be nice guy and honest. Around girls I didn't care for, I was cocky/funny, busting their balls, and they loved it. I don't know why I didn't see the connection, maybe I was dropped on my head too many times as a child, who knows.

Then I bought The Game back in 2005ish, read half of it and started again in November. I've since read the book 2 times and now have a better understanding of everything. I'm more cocky/funny, natural game, but I do try to do canned openers and SOME light NLP stuff.

My problems are number closing, approach anxiety, eye contact and general escalation.

I can approach a 1-set, but 2+ sets are scary. I did it last night to a 3-set of HB7's or so, a bit older, and tried to do the "who lies more, men or women" routine. I tried to focus on all 3, but only 1 seemed to give a damn. When I tried to explain about an "article" that links why men lie more, my stuttering came out....gotta love it. I'm working on that one as well. I'm working on speaking slower, pausing, and maintaining eye contact.

I can stop a woman and say hey where'd you get that tat? or something to that nature. I can talk to a 1-set who's acting casual or someone I find interesting, but it's hard for me to find stuff to talk about since I try to more situational openers than canned openers.

Anyways, I'm off to the bookstore to buy a book or 2 that were suggested here.
I'm reading DYD again, Magic Bullets, Gunwitch Method so I might pick up Tony Robbins book. I'm natural game and I feel like I'm a step above AFC but just can't approach PUAdome, let alone mPUAdome. I can pick up HB6-7 (which is a big deal to me lol), sometimes 8's but never HB9-10's. I am a wealth of knowledge, I read about seduction, communication, texting game, etc etc all the time and know lots of tidbits, just don't know how to apply it to my own knowledge.

And my rambling isn't a sign of lack of self-confidence, I just love to share knowledge and give people the whole picture.

2. Realize you are not these girls friend in no way shape or form the more heartless you are about this stuff the more confident man you will be. I've done a total of 259 approachs and do you know how many of those girls actually CARE about who I am and my life goals? About 4 girls. That isn't even 1%. You see what I'm saying? You cannot care about these women when most of them will NEVER care about you I do not care if your Mystery himself or the AFC who lives in his moms basement playing D&D all day. Go into every set with a goal. Say to himself (I want to fuck, I want a #, I want a BJ, I want a girlfriend, I want a wife, I want a friend with benefits). In your mind your goals with these women should be 110% clear and you need to go in there with an active gameplan.

3. You said a 3 set was hard for you...that is a BIG problem if cannot entertain three grown adults (your peers). I've been in a 7 set (now that is when it gets hard). Hang around with like 10 five year old I know it sounds really wierd but if you can keep them all under control you can do the same with women.

4. I'm glad your well read and educated WOMEN love that so USE IT, if Terry K did not use his math genius we would have never had a UNABOMBER and NO I'm not condoning his actions in any way shape or form but what I am saying is that you have to utilize what you know. Your 26 and this is primetime bro...use it or loose it man. Women do not want to teach a man how to be a man.

Thanks for the input. My life goal is to be better at everything; better at understanding people, better at cooking, better at playing guitar, everything. My goal when I walk into sets is never specific, it's more of "to talk to them, to get a number close, to see what happens". I will take your advice and be more specific about goals.
