Cardio + Protein + Eat low carbs = You'll get cut.

Don't do 30 minute jogs... If you can, do 30 second sprints. Do like 5-8 sets.... Just do it until you max out

Anybody who tells you shitloads of cardio is necessary to lose fat either has no idea what they're talking about or is operating on science from 50 years ago.
I'll back 870 up. Anyone who denies the above should not be entitled further opinion on the matter. Lots of stuff works. Following 870's simplified prescription will move you in the right direction. If you want to get dirty pick up a copy of Barry Sear's Enter the Zone.

I totally agree with 870 and Teddy-G

Apart from when he said
Quote:
-Do high intensity cardio
Low intensity is the way to go

And to show why im going to have to go all nerdy on you ;)

Glucose is the normal source of energy for our cells . This glucose comes from carbohydrates in our food. When we Respire ( how our cells produce energy ) We use Glucose + Triglycerides (fat ) in Aerobic respiration which is Low intensity this means that your burning fat and using up glucose

If we Increase the intensity we start to respire Anerobically which means that we now arent burning Triglycerides (fat ) but using glucose and producing lactic acid .

So yeah as i stated before long jogs on the treadmill are best suited to burn fat.

Hey ppl, I am in NO way fat, but I have a bit of a belly which is annoying. The rest of me is great. I've never seriously tried to get rid of it, but I am motivated. What do I need to do to get quick results???
It's definitely already been said, but I'll repeat it anyway.

Do lots of cardio - running, biking, rowing, kayaking, stairmaster, tennis, dance... anything that gets your heart going and your sweat dripping. Do at least three half hour cardio sessions a week.

Eat healthy. Take in less fast acting carbs. Limit your calorie intake. In general, don't eat unhealthy foods (you know what's unhealthy). Make healthy diet habits.

Exercise. The more muscle you build, the faster your metabolism will be, and the more fat you will burn.

Good luck!

Wow. Listen to all this stuff, all different and coming from all directions. Not only is some of it "A versus B", but it's also missing something else: Sustainability. Even if some of this stuff works, it won't last because losing belly fat requires dipping down into single-digit-body-fat percentages, which is damn tough to do, not to mention maintain. Check out this article over at CNN. http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/12/23/6p ... index.html It's from a guy in 2009 who worked hard on getting six-pack abs. Trouble is, after he got to where he wanted to be, he couldn't stand the diet and exercise routine and slacked off, then lost the six-pack.

If you're still set on doing this, use the article as a baseline for what you need to be doing, then talk to your doctor so you can do it in a way that doesn't threaten your health. Good luck.
